I’m excited to see “A History of the Sky: A dynamic time-lapse visualization of the sky for an entire year” at the SF Exploratorium. Two things I love: clouds and time lapse!

“Here is a movie made from images from the camera’s first 42 days on the roof of the Exploratorium. The earliest day is in the upper left, and consecutive days follow left to right, then down, with the most recent day in the lower right.”

How a web design goes straight to hell »

The hardest I have laughed in a long, long time

“Every time you attempt to parse HTML with regular expressions, the unholy child weeps the blood of virgins, and Russian hackers pwn your webapp. Parsing HTML with regex summons tainted souls into the realm of the living. HTML and regex go together like love, marriage, and ritual infanticide.”

“It’s like there’s a gap. For the first couple years that you’re making stuff, what you’re making isn’t so good, okay … it’s not that great. It’s really not that great. It’s … it’s trying to be good, it has some ambition to be good, but it’s not quite that good. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game — your taste is still killer.”

Watch this, okay? Especially you creative types. It’s important.

Heather: as much as I hate this argument, at least the underserved are used to being underserved
Heather: iPhone users are definitely not
Heather: they complain if it doesn't do foot massages
Boris: that's my next app btw
Boris: turn on vibrate and put it under your foot
Boris: I'll call it iPhoot
Boris: and i'll sell it for free, but I'll also sell special handy wipes that cost $5
